Tags, portal internal notes, custom CSS, activity page, and comment & roadmap fixes

This release is all about conversations and organization. Admin accounts now stand out on your board, you can tag requests and members, and your team has more control over how comments reach customers. We've also added custom CSS for your portal, a new activity page, and fixed a batch of comment and roadmap bugs.

New features

Comments and communication

More control over what customers see, and better follow-up when you reply.

• Admin badge for staff. Your team now carries an admin badge on the feedback board, so customers can tell at a glance when a reply comes from you.

• Comments from the portal. Admins can now submit comments of all types directly from the feedback portal.

• New comment types. A new dropdown on comments lets admins pick the type of comment. Users can now submit a comment which is a standard comment, request for more info, or an announcement. Each have different email templates and recipients.

• Email when comments are published. The person who submitted a request now gets an email when a comment is published on it, so they hear back without checking the portal.
  

  

Organization and insights

New ways to sort, segment and keep track of your feedback.

• Request tags. Add tags to requests to group them however you like, for example free vs. paid features.

• Member tags. Tag members too, so you can segment the people giving you feedback.

• Activity page (beta). A new activity page in the app shows what's been happening across your workspace in one place.

• Conditional formatting for scores. Request scores can now be color-coded, making high-value requests easy to spot.

• Conditional formatting on the roadmap. The same conditional formatting now works on the roadmap page, not just the requests list.

Portal customization

• Custom CSS. Style your feedback portal with your own CSS so it matches your brand. This feature is also in beta.

Improvements

Smaller changes that make Project Echo faster and easier to use every day.

• Back to your dashboard. You can now get from the feedback portal back to your dashboard in one step, without hunting for the way out.

• Single-click roadmap cards. Roadmap cards now open with a single click instead of a double click.

• Paste images. Paste images straight into comments and the new request form in the feedback portal.

• Faster comments. Posting a comment is noticeably quicker. It used to take up to around 5 seconds.

• Reliable grouping on the requests page. The requests page now loads all requests at once instead of lazily, so grouping always shows the full picture.

• Tooltips that fit. We fixed tooltips that were getting cut off, including the conditional formatting one.

• Docs link in the menu. The bottom-right menu now includes a link to our docs.

• Cleaner sample data. The sample members we create in new workspaces no longer come with placeholder email addresses.

API & MCP

• Request scores in the API and MCP. Request scores are now included in the API and MCP server, so your agents and integrations can prioritize using the same numbers you see in the app.

• MCP server on npm. The Project Echo MCP server is now published on npm, making it easier to install.

Bug fixes

Comments

• Deleting comments works again on the request details page.

• No more stuck comments. Comments no longer hang after you submit them in the app. Before, they only appeared after a refresh.

• Portal comment error fixed. Members no longer hit an error when adding a comment in the feedback portal.

Roadmap and requests

• Moving roadmap cards. Dragging a card between columns, for example from Pending to Completed, no longer crashes the page.

• Changes stay in sync. Edits you make to a request on the roadmap now show up correctly on the requests page, and the other way round.

• Member search on the roadmap. Searching for members in the new request form on the roadmap page works again.

• Avatar picker visible. The member search pop-up no longer gets hidden behind the new request form.

• Description layout. Adding custom blocks to a request description no longer breaks the request page layout.
