Pre-beta updates: Custom domain, monetization, search, identity masking, and more
I've recently completed some major features for Project Echo as I push towards the beta launch early next month.
Below is a list of the new functionality I've added to the product:
Custom domain support - Users can now host their public portals on their own subdomain.
Monetization - I've implemented Stripe and have started gating paid features.
Individual member pages - You can now click on a member and see the requests, comments and votes belonging to the member. You can also see their overall contributions over the last 24 weeks.
Search - Users can now search for requests on the requests page, and filter members through an embedded search at the top of the members page.
Individual request page on public portal - Visitors to your public portal can now click on requests and see their comments, votes, and activity history.
Email notifications v1 - Users can now receive email notifications for certain activities performed by members, or fellow teammates, for example, when requests are created, or comments are written.
New public portal settings (title, seo title, seo description, and member identity masking) - Users can now decide the title of their public portal, and set the meta title and meta description. Users can also anonymize personal details of members who have contributed requests or comments on the public portal.
Threaded comments v1 - Comments can now receive replies, turning them into threads.
Edit and delete comments - Comments can now be edited or deleted by their creators.
Auto-detect similar requests - To prevent duplications, similar requests are shown when new requests are being created.
Improved navigation - Clicking on the back button in the UI will now take you back to the page you were on previously.
Some updates to the free vs. pro cards displayed on the homepage to reflect changes to the paid plan.
Many speed improvements and bug fixes.
